Ossification

The logical soundness of arguments for the ossification of Bitcoin are getting to a point of pure absurdity.

Shinobi argued that the surge of institutional bitcoin adoption will lead to premature ossification of the Bitcoin protocol. While I share this concern to an extent, I am less convinced this is necessarily true.

Bitcoin ossification is ultimately the result of incentives and the size of the network making improving it impossible to coordinate. That happening too soon is not a good thing.
